Editorial Policy
This page sets out how Artevaggio decides what to publish, how we handle accuracy and images, and how we keep advertising separate from editorial.
What we publish
Explainers, analysis and background on art, design, architecture, travel, hotels, museums and photography. We do not publish paid reviews, undisclosed gifted stays, or coverage written from a press release without independent checking.
Where a fact is contested among specialists — an attribution, a date, an interpretation — we say so rather than picking the tidier version.
Sourcing
We prioritise primary material: museum and institutional catalogues, archival records, published scholarship, architects’ own drawings and statements, and direct observation. Where figures such as dates or dimensions vary between reputable sources, we note the disagreement.
Images and copyright
We use images we have the right to use — our own, public domain material, or images licensed for the purpose — and we credit sources where credit is due. If you hold rights to an image on this site and believe it is used incorrectly, email [email protected] and we will remove or correct it promptly.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact quickly. Email the article title and the specific passage. Substantive corrections are noted on the article; typographical fixes are made silently.
Advertising and editorial independence
This site is funded by advertising served through third-party networks, including Google. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Advertisers cannot commission, review or veto coverage, and an advertisement for a hotel, gallery or product is never an endorsement by us.
Use of AI tools
We use software tools in research and production. Everything published is reviewed for accuracy before it goes live, and editorial responsibility for all content on this site rests with Artevaggio.
